Painless Hemorrhoids Cures and Treatment Methods

In: Rubber Bracelets

30 Dec 2009

Surgical procedures are usually reserved for extreme hemorrhoid conditions. Natural home remedies and painless techniques are provided to patients as alternatives to permanent hemorrhoid cures. Aside from herbal medicines, e.g. witch hazel and butcher’s broom, there are other methods used for treating hemorrhoids. From injections to freezing, you’re sure to get rid of that horrible and frustrating condition in no time.

Injection

This hemorrhoids cure is typically used to shrink the inflamed blood vessels in the anus and rectum. A specialized medicine is used into the mucous membrane within proximity of the hemorrhoid. This procedure, however, is only used for smaller hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoidolysis

For internal hemorrhoids, Hemorrhoidolysis is a great hemorrhoids cure. The technique involves the introduction of galvanic waves in order to produce a chemical reaction that would shrink and dissolve the hemorrhoidal tissue.

Bipolar Coagulation

This technique is used to promote coagulation of the mucous membrane near the affected veins. BICAP or Bipolar Circumative Probes are used in this technique, and typically reserved for internal hemorrhoids. This electrotherapy procedure is applied directly onto the affected area.

Hemorrhoidal Arterial Ligation

Also known as HAL, this technique is used to stop the blood flow of the hemorrhoid. By using a proctoscope and a Doppler ultrasound flowmeter, a thread and needle are introduced to form a knot on the hemorrhoid. The knot is then tied externally in order to stop the blood flow on the affected area.

Rubber Banding

Rubber Band Ligation is typically used for patients with prolapse internal hemorrhoids. The technique is done by pulling the affected tissue into a cylinder, which creates a space for the introduction of rubber bands. These latex bands are then tied around the tissue and left overtime to stop the blood flow.

The tied hemorrhoid is expected to shrink and fall off in a week. The latex band, on the other hand, will be eliminated through a normal bowel movement.

Photocoagulation

For bleeding hemorrhoids, photocoagulation is an excellent technique. Through the use of infrared light emitted at the end of a photocoagulator or probe, the bleeding hemorrhoid will be welded in place.

Freezing

Another popular hemorrhoids cure is super freezing. This innovative technique uses a cryogenic device that emits liquid nitrogen to super freeze the affected area. Eventually the hemorrhoid will slough off to promote the growth of a healthier tissue. Super freezing technique, in addition, is an excellent treatment procedure for external hemorrhoids.
